the weekly washington DC sunday jam happens between 2:00 and 5:00 PM in the
`st. james church parrish hall`_ (follow the link to further down the page
for address and destination).  a $5 donation goes to the church to help
support their community outreach program, which makes our use of the space
possible.

on the first sunday of each month we have a structured improv (often, nancy
stark smith's *underscore*, with an orientation for newcomers to the
underscore from 2:00 to 2:30.  (See DCJamsValue for what that's about.)

every sunday jam participant must sign a `liability release/waiver`_.
(we'll have some at the door.  if you haven't signed and can print one
and bring it already signed, though, that'd help with jam maintenance.)

  our regular sunday jam happens from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in the parrish hall
  of a small church on capital hill.  the address is::

  - `directions from eastern market station`_

    eastern market station is on the blue and orange lines, and the walk is
    around .7 miles.

  - `directions to union station`_

    union station is on the red line, and the walk is around .8 miles.

  there is a flexible cost to the space that we need to resolve.  we'll
  probably charge $5 to attend, negotiable if needs be.

until recently the jam was in transit, searching for a new home.  details
of that search are preserved in DCJamSearchForANewHome.

some background
===============

the sunday dc jam has been happening just about every week for the last 20
years or so.  it's been at several places along the way, including
substantial tenures at St. James' Church parrish hall in northeast DC,
American University, Glen Echo Park, Joe's Movement Emporium in Mt. Ranier,
MD, and most recently GWU, thanks to Maida Withers and the Department of
Theater and Dance.  as of october 29, 2006 we are returning to `st. james
church parrish hall`_.  agreements with the church need to be settled, but
it looks at this point (10/31/2006) like it will become our ongoing
residence for the forseeable future.
